SO 3540 - Race and Ethnic Relations

Sociological analysis of relations between groups that differ in race, culture, or both. Emphasis on critical examination of the nature, causes and consequences of race and ethnic inequalities and conflict, in global as well as domestic perspective. Key dynamics to be considered include: dominance and subordination, prejudice, and discrimination.

Prerequisite: Sophomore standing.
