BL 3030 - Human Anatomy and Physiology I (3) Introduction to the anatomy and physiology of the human body. The course begins with a review of homeostasis, basic histology and the general body plan. The integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems are then covered in detail. The study of each of these systems is organized around the central concept of homeostasis. Considerable time is devoted to the relationship between structure and function.
Prerequisite: Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in BL 1250 and BL 1251 or BL 1260 and BL 1261 or equivalent or instructor approval. For nursing students, concurrent enrollment in BL 2929 (with its prerequisite) is sufficient. Corequisite: BL 3031 .
