TH 4180 - Religion in America (3) This course is designed to introduce students to a range of ways that religion has been understood in the United States with special attention to the consequences of granting the category of ‘religion’ Constitutional protection. Students will be exposed to multiple ways in which diverse social interests and theological claims have shaped the actions, identities, and ideas of the American people from the colonial era to the present.
Prerequisite: TH 1000 , TH 1020 , TH 1050 or TH 2000 . (THII)
