EN 3885 - The Contemporary Novel (3) A study of some of the most recognized and noteworthy long fiction of the prior 25 years, the course will consider the work of writers such as Toni Morrison, Philip Roth, Ian McEwan, A. S. Byatt, David Lodge, and Salman Rushdie, as well as recent theories of the novel and cultural contexts that bear on the creation, publication, and reception of such works.
Prerequisite: EN 1110 /EN 1120 , or EN 1140 , or EN 1150 or equivalent. (LTII)
