BL 4200 - Parasitology: Global Issues and Perspectives (3) This course will address the diversity of parasitic organisms by studying morphology, ecology, epidemiology, and evolution of parasites of human, veterinary, and agricultural importance. Emphasis is placed on the diagnosis, course of infection, and clinical pathology of important human parasites. The course will also bring to light an understanding of the cultural, social, behavioral, political, and environmental actions which impact the causes, spread, prevention, and treatment of parasitic diseases.
Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in BL 1300 /BL 1301 or equivalent or instructor approval. Corequisite: BL 4201 . (GPR)
