PH 4111 - Classical Mechanics Theory

The Newtonian formulation of mechanics with applications to simple mechanical systems. Generalized coordinates, the Hamilton’s principle and the Lagrangian formulation.

Prerequisite: PH 2700  or PH 2850 ; and MT 1800 .
