FYS 1000 - Introduction to Engineering, Computing, Mathematics, and Analytics and Technology

This is a course to introduce students to the analytics and technology, engineering, computing, and applied mathematics programs, and to develop a sense of community among them. In this class, students will become familiar with the educational outcomes of each program, discuss the values of a Jesuit education, discover career opportunities in their areas, engage in interdisciplinary group projects, participate in service learning, and interact with older classmen in their respective programs. Through the class, students will also be introduced to resources and opportunities available to them on our campus, at UMKC, and elsewhere.
