SP 4082 - Medical Spanish Conversational Fluency & Interpretation

In this course, students will engage in activities and practice aimed at improving oral proficiency of Spanish in a medical setting, in addition to taking an in-depth look at interpretation techniques. Topics include patient and practitioner interactions, discussion of common diseases, standards of practice in interpretation, interpretation terminology, and cultural components related to Hispanic/Latino healthcare.

Prerequisite: SP 4065  OR SP 4075  OR approval by the instructor.
