EXS 4900 - Practicum in Exercise Science or Health Science

Exercise Science and Health Science majors participate in an internship in a health or business-related agency. Students must serve a minimum of 100 hours at the agency.  Throughout the internship experience students will complete weekly reflections for course instructor and participate in assigned tasks at the agency.  Students may shadow their supervisor and/or assist with client care.  Students should contact the exercise science/health science practicum coordinator the semester prior to taking the practicum, which is typically completed during the last semester of their program.  Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0, and a 2.0 GPA in their major, before proceeding in the practicum.

Fee.
Prerequisite: Senior standing; instructor approval.
