PAI 1375 - Making History: Peace, Culture, and Society

Fulfills the core curriculum requirement for a “Historical Foundations” course.  This course introduces key concepts regarding the methods and perspectives employed in the study of history as well as the nature and relevance of historical studies.  This course surveys the origins of global conflicts and the establishment and promotion of peace. Themes include histories and cultural traditions; politics and societies; globalization and culture; space and the environment; race ethnicity, gender, and social movement; religion, ethics, and social justice; and pacifism, nonviolence, and peace-building.
