This course incorporates theory and laboratory study of automated chemistry analysis and manual testing techniques, including renal and endocrine function; acid/base balance and renal/respiratory compensation; toxicology and therapeutic drug monitoring; point of care testing; quality control and instrumentation. This course emphasizes biochemical analytical testing techniques, medical significance, treatment, and clinical correlation to disease states.
Prerequisite: Acceptance to an affiliated accredited school of Medical Laboratory Science.
