NUR 3995 - Advanced Pediatric Nursing (2) A 6-week course only offered in the summer.
Advanced Pediatric Nursing is designed for students to have a more focused experience in the pediatrics health setting. Students will discover and examine specific roles and responsibilities of a pediatric nurse. Students will complete clinicals in the pediatric setting to explore professional opportunities, while developing essential competencies. Students will complete 60 hours of clinicals focused on pediatrics with additional content presented in an online format.
Prerequisite: This course is for students who have completed J2 or S1 semesters. Students must have exemplary clinical performance and approval by the BSN Clinical Lead for enrollment, and/or a cumulative GPA > 3.4.
