NUA 5450 - Advanced Health Care Research

Nursing research is presented as an inherent component in the development of nursing theory and advanced practice. Critical thinking, critical reasoning, and critiquing processes are introduced and related to research-based advance practice. Methods of conducting research and evaluating findings for use in practice settings are explored. Research that focuses on health risks of client systems, practice guidelines, therapeutic management, and cost and outcomes are explored. Emphasis is placed on evaluating research for theory and practice.
Prerequisite: NUA 6960 .
