Lower Division Requirements:
The minor in English consists of the lower-division prerequisite choices of: Upper Division Requirements:
Upper-division requirements in one of two areas of emphasis: literature or writing. Within the literature emphasis, students must take any four of the English Department’s upper-division literature course offerings, such as those in period, genre, figure, theory, or interpretation. Student may choose any four courses from the writing track of the English major in upper-division English offerings:

A grade of C or better is required in each upper-division course of the minor. (A grade of C- will not satisfy the requirement.)
