The Certificates of Graduate Study at the Helzberg School of Management focus on specific areas that Baccalaureate students may further pursue. Certificates are available in the following areas:

Certificate Objectives
Certificates are designed for graduates who are either changing industries or responsibilities or would like to enhance their post-baccalaureate education with up-to-date information.
Students enrolled in the Helzberg Certificate of Graduate Study program also have full access to Helzberg professional coaches as well as our Career Center. In addition, they are invited to participate in all MBA, MA, and MS personal and professional development programs as well as mentoring and networking events.
Admission Requirements
The Helzberg Certificate of Graduate Study program is open to those who possess a bachelor’s degree. Those with a speciality Master’s degree in a closely related business or management field may also be considered.
In order for an applicant to be accepted into the Helzberg Certificate of Graduate Study program they must meet the following requirements:
• Completed application (submitted online or paper copy)
• Current Resume (Please email to graduate@rockhurst.edu)
• Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities
• Personal Statement (Please email to graduate@rockhurst.edu)
Certificate Credit Hours
Credit hours earned during the pursuit of a graduate certificate may be applied toward elective credit hours (or in the case of an exact match, toward core hours) necessary to earn a graduate degree provided both are completed within six years following registration in the certificate program. In such case the degree would be awarded as a general degree with no concentration. Conversely, credit hours previously applied to a graduate program resulting in a degree are not eligible to fill the requirements of a graduate certificate.
Curriculum
The Helzberg Certificate of Graduate Study requirements consist of a minimum of 12 credit hours of advanced graduate coursework in a specific discipline. Average completion time is 6 terms or 15 months. Upon completion, students will be awarded a certificate from Rockhurst University and the Helzberg School of Management. Prerequisites may be required for certificates based upon review of transcripts.
