Minor Field of Concentration
The Rockhurst Department of Education is committed to developing informed citizens and advocates for productive educational environments in a democratic society. The minor in Educational Studies course of study allows students to see the value in better understanding the intersection of education within their major program of study and provides a solid grasp of research-based theories in learning and teaching through reflective practice. The education studies minor offers an interesting and broad introduction to education as a field of study and supports the development of life-long learning. The minor does not result in teacher certification. The minor in Educational Studies requires a total of fifteen (15) credit hours.
