Interdisciplinary Environmental Studies Minor

The goal of the Interdisciplinary Environmental Studies Minor is to facilitate the development of environmentally aware and responsible citizens. The minor seeks to prepare students to direct their knowledge and skills toward urgent environmental issues, to diagnose complex problems from multiple perspectives and to make choices based on values beyond economic efficiency. Students will employ knowledge, critical thinking, and values consistent with the Catholic and Jesuit traditions to make choices for the good of the environment and to advocate for environmental justice for human beings and all living creatures.
This minor is designed for any student who cares about the environment and desires to more fully develp their understanding of environmental issues from multiple perspectives.
