Students must also satisfy:
Students must also satisfy an experiential learning requirement. This requirement can be satisfied in one of two ways: (1) by completing an off-campus internship/work experience (in an approved, mathematically related field) together with at least one credit hour of the Career Services course, CP 3910 - Co-op Work Projects I , or (2) by completing an undergraduate research project (with a mathematics faculty advisor) together with the one credit hour course, MT 3990 - Introductory Research Projects . All students will present the results of their experiential learning project in the Festival of Student Achievement. (In either case, the additional credit hour(s) for experiential learning do not count toward a student’s 18 upper-division credit hours in mathematics.) Students must also complete 12 upper-division hours in a related area or areas. Students should consult with their mathematics faculty advisor in selecting courses and in planning their experiential learning project as soon as they declare a major. A grade of C or better is required in each upper-division course counted toward fulfillment of the major requirements. (A grade of C- will not satisfy this requirement.)
