Lower Division Requirements:
A major in Biochemistry requires the following lower-division prerequisites: Upper Division Requirements:
The following upper-division courses are required for the Biochemistry major:
*Note-CH 3450 and CH 3460 should be completed either freshman or sophomore year after completing CH 2650 and CH 2660, or after completing CH 2630 and CH 2640, whichever sequence is taken. CH 3450 and 3460 are required as pre-reqs for other Biochemistry labs.
One seminar class:
One seminar class is required: A minimum of three hours required:
At least three (3) hours of an instrumental theory and application class are required and can be satisfied by taking one of the following classes:
Note:
A grade of C or better is required in each upper-division course of the major. (A grade of C- will not satisfy the requirement.)
Those students who are preparing for entry into graduate studies or industry should consult with their advisor to discuss which additional upper-division biology and chemistry classes to include in their programs. |
