Marketing is a crucial part of any business, and it’s about more than just promoting products. Drawing from economics, psychology, sociology, and finance, it entails understanding the competition, connecting with customers, and building brand recognition. Marketing is a practical, career-oriented program that develops students’ creativity, logic, analytical skills, and general business acumen. The marketing minor consists of 12 hours, which students choose from 8 marketing electives, allowing students to customize a minor that meets their academic and professional interests. The marketing minor is a complementary course of study for many majors offered at Rockhurst University.

Note:

* All listed courses require MK 3000  as a prerequisite course that must be taken prior to taking courses for the minor.

Students in the Business Administration major with concentrations in either marketing or marketing analytics may not pursue a marketing minor.

Courses required for a major may not be applied to a minor.
