DPT/MBA Dual Degree Program

Students seeking this dual degree will follow the course sequence for Physical Therapy, D.P.T. , located in Saint Luke’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences , and complete the following requirements in the Business Administration, M.B.A.  program, located in the College of Business and Technology  before graduation. 

For the MBA component of the DPT/MBA dual degree program, students will complete the following:

• Business Administration Graduate Certificate *  (14 credit hours)
• MG 6491  Business and Management Capstone (2 credit hours) OR HC 6425   Healthcare Leadership Capstone (3 credit hours)
• One additional MBA Certificate of their choice (at least 10 credit hours). For a complete list of available graduate certificates see Business Administration, M.B.A.  
• For the remaining 1-4 credit hours needed to complete the 30-credit hour M.B.A. requirement, students will be able to apply the following courses taken in the existing DPT curriculum:
  • PT 6170  Professional Practice & Leadership (3 credit hours)
  • PT 7170  Community Engagement and Leadership (2 credit hours)
  • PT 7550   Healthcare and Practice Management (3 credits)
• The PT program will waive the elective course requirement (2 credits) in the DPT curriculum, therefore reducing the DPT program minimum number of hours from 101 to 99.
