The Spanish Studies Minor requires a prior completion of 8 to 14 hours of proficiency-level preparation of a combination of Spanish courses listed below:
The Department would accept the equivalent proficiency of the above 8 to 14 credit hours to be completed in high school, junior college, other colleges or universities, waived through ACCP courses, AP credits, satisfactory CLEP scores, or a departmental oral proficiency test.
Requirements for the Spanish Studies Minor consist of 12 upper-division hours of course work in the target language after completing the proficiency requirements. A grade of C or better is required in each upper-division course of the minor. (A grade of C- will not satisfy the requirement.)
