HS 3000 - Ancient History (3) This course examines the history of the ancient world, beginning with Mesopotamia and Egypt. Society and culture in ancient Greece, including Homeric Greece, classical Athens, and Sparta will be examined, as will the culture of ancient Rome from the foundation of the monarchy until the fall of the Roman Empire. Topics include wars and warfare, empire and expansion, women in ancient cultures, slavery, and ancient religions.
