TA 1020 - Live Theatre in New York (1-3) An appreciation course culminating in a one-week trip to New York City. Typically, the trip would occur during the spring semester break or between spring and summer semesters. Prior to the trip, on-campus classes explore issues related to professional theatre, theatre history, dramatic theory, and performance criticism. During the New York trip students attend at least six Broadway or off-Broadway plays, meet for group discussions, and collect information for use in written analysis projects. Students are responsible for additional costs associated with the trip. Course may be repeated for a maximum of six credit hours.
(ARI – To satisfy the core this course must be taken in combination with other AR, MS, or TA courses to equal at least 3 hours.)
