BL 3650 - Molecular Biology (2) A study of the structure and function of DNA, RNA, and proteins. The molecular biology of prokaryotic organisms, eukaryotic organisms, and viruses will be examined, with an emphasis on transcriptional regulation, RNA processing, translation, mutations and repair, and genomics. Advanced topics, such as the use of model organisms and developmental genetics will be approached through the analysis of current research in these fields.
Lab fee. Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in BL 3610 /BL 3611 and junior/senior standing or instructor approval. Corequisite: BL 3651 .
