PA 3550 - Labor and Employment Law (1) An overview of labor law and legal issues in the workplace concerning employers, employees and unions. The historical context of unions and the role they have played in the legal regulation of the workplace is discussed. Federal laws and regulations and the roles and structures of administrative agencies is emphasized. Additional topics include workplace discrimination, organizing, negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, grievance and arbitration, employment-at-will, wage and hour laws, and safety laws.
