PY 3820 - Multicultural Psychology (3) This course examines the understanding of cultural differences and their application to behavioral change. Emphasis is placed on the development of the ability to engage in perspective-taking as a function of culture. Diversity across race, gender, and class is explored. Issues related to prejudice, privilege, attitude structure and change, interpersonal communication, will be explored. The course will be conducted with a combination of lectures, class discussion, guest speakers, group activities, student presentations, videos, etc.
Prerequisite: PY 1000 or PY 1100 .
