PT 7641 - Physical Therapy Management of Pediatric Conditions Lab

This laboratory is designed to provide the student with practical experiences of clinical examination skills and interventions specific to pediatric populations. Class activities will encourage critical and creative thinking for solving problems associated with medical conditions affecting children and their families.  Students will appreciate: (1) their leadership role in healthcare, (2) the importance of effective communication in the delivery of physical therapy services, and (3) their potential for creating a more just world for families of children with special needs. Over the course of the semester students will explore the knowledge and skills needed for performing their roles as physical therapists in various pediatric settings.
