PY 3500 - Personality

This course provides an introduction to the study of personality and individual differences. It covers historical and contemporary approaches to understanding personality, including psychodynamic, biogenetic, trait-based, and cognitive-behavioral perspectives.  This course also explores the extent to which variations in personality predict outcomes in the realms of work, mental and physical health, and relationships.  Research methods used to ask and answer questions about human personality will be emphasized throughout the course.

Prerequisite: PY 1000   or PY 1100 .
