PY 4080 - Psychological Assessment

This course is an introduction to the development, interpretation, and uses of psychological tests and to the value and potential problems inherent in their applications. Psychological theories underlying specific tests and methods of conducting and evaluating tests and the broader assessment process are studied. Guest lectures demonstrate how assessments are used by various professional psychologists. Statistical and psychological concepts necessary for the interpretation of test scores are emphasized.

 

Prerequisite: PY 1000  or PY 1100 , and BSS 2100 .
