PY 4320 - Cognitive Development

The goal of this course is to better understand cognitive psychology by making use of developmental research. To accomplish this goal important themes that are discussed include innate qualities of human cognition, the patterns of change found in cognition, the study of possible universal forms of cognition, and different methods for examining cognitive change. To become acquainted fully with these issues, students read and critique original source material.

Prerequisite: Six hours of upper-division psychology.
