PT 7835 - Professional and Leadership Development III (2)
This third course in the professional development series focuses on physical therapists’ roles and responsibilities, including small group and public interactions. Topics include small group communication concepts, such as group dynamics, planning meetings, emotional intelligence, strategic planning, and conflict resolution. Students will explore environmental barriers and cultural competency in the context of legal and ethical issues commonly encountered in practice. Instruction will be presented through lecture, discussion, student self-study of instructional materials, student library research, experiential learning situations, role playing, and community service promoting health and wellness.
