Undergraduate Studies in the College of Health and Human Services

Consistent with the Jesuit mission, the College of Health and Human Services undergraduate programs integrate broad based liberal arts curriculum with specialized professional education to prepare students to serve as leaders in their chosen discipline. All undergraduate programs in the school prepare students for future study in health and human services.

The College of Health and Human Services grants the Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, B.S. , Exercise Science, B.S. , Health Science, B.S. Community Health Management Track , Health Science, B.S. Health and Disability Track , Health Science, B.S. Pre-Nursing Track , Physics, B.S. , Biomedical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, B.S.  and Biomedical Physics, Physics of Medicine (POM) Pre-Professional, B.S.  The College also hosts the Rockhurst/UMKC Joint Engineering program, offering degrees in Civil Engineering, B.S., in partnership with UMKC  , Electrical Engineering, B.S., in partnership with UMKC , and Mechanical Engineering, B.S., in partnership with UMKC .  The College offers undergraduate minors in Communication Sciences and Disorders Minor , Exercise Science Minor , Physics Minor , and Physics of Medicine Minor . Graduate Programs in the College of Health and Human Services

At the graduate level, the College grants the Doctor of Physical Therapy,  the Doctor of Occupational Therapy and the Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Academic, Enrollment, and Administrative Policies

The College of Health and Human Services welcomes new and transfer students. Undergraduate students in the College of Health and Human Services abide by the same rules as all other undergraduate students at the university. Please refer to the Academic Policies and Procedures  section of the catalog for specific details.

Undergraduate Academic Advising

The College of Health and Human Services Director of Advising assists students by providing program information, initial credit evaluations, and course pre-registration. Undergraduate students must be advised every semester prior to pre-registration for the following semester. Students who attend school in the evening or who declare a major housed in the College of Health and Human Services are advised by either the Director of Academic Advising or by a faculty member.
