Theatre Arts Minor

From lower division Theatre courses students must complete 3 hours:

• TA 1100 - Stage Movement: Basics (3)

• or

• TA 1200 - Acting I (3)

• or

• TA 1300 - Introduction to Technical Theatre (3)

Students must complete 12 upper-division credits from the list below with a maximum of 3 credits from Practicum courses.

• TA 3000 - Script Analysis (3)
• TA 3100 - Stage Movement: Mask and Body (3)
• TA 3201 - Musical Theatre (3)
• TA 3202 - Shakespeare for Actors (3)
• TA 3203 - Voice for Actors (3)
• TA 3250 - Directing (3)
• TA 3301 - Improvisation (3)
• TA 3302 - Acting II: Advertising and Marketing (3)
• TA 3303 - Acting III: Film and Television (3)

• Practicum courses (maximum of 3 practicum credits may be taken in place of one upper level Theatre course):

• TA 3500 - Acting Practicum (1)
• TA 3520 - Building Crew Practicum (1)
• TA 3540 - Running Crew Practicum (1)
• TA 3560 - Theatre Management Practicum (1)

NOTE:

A grade of C or better is required in each upper-division course of the minor. (A grade of C- will not satisfy the requirement.)
