Upper division requirements:
After completing the foundation course, students will complete 27 upper division credit hours to earn the Theology & Religious Studies Teaching track major. A grade of “C” or better is required in each course. The 27 credit hours will be completed by taking the minimum required in the following five course clusters:

The following is also required for students pursuing either track of the Theology and Religious Studies major:
Students must complete two semesters of college-level study of one language other than English. This requirement may be fulfilled by completing two semesters of college-level literature in one language other than English.
In either case the language courses must be taken for college-level credit. [Neither College Level Examination Program (CLEP) nor Advanced Placement (AP) exams fulfill this requirement.] A grade of C or better is required in each upper division course of the major. (A grade of C- will not satisfy the requirement.)
An additional 12 credit hours of related upper division courses are also required, to be chosen with the guidance of the major advisor. These 12 hours of related course work must pertain directly to the major concentration. Selected courses in history, philosophy, or other disciplines approved by the major advisor, constitute related course work.
