Civil Engineering, B.S., in partnership with UMKC

College of Arts and Sciences

Students interested in a Bachelor of Science degree and majoring in civil engineering should take the following courses in the following sequence. The following is a sample course of study. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all program and core requirements are met. This guide is not a substitute for individual academic advisement. Students should always check with their advisor if they have questions about a proposed variation including taking any summer courses.

Students are responsible for checking prerequisites for any course. A grade of C or better is required for every MT, CH, BL, PH, ECE, ME and CE course.

Transfer courses at the 3000- or 4000-level are only accepted with prior advisor approval.

A minimum of 60 hours of service is required. The recommended minimum number of service hours for each year are: 10 hours during the freshman year, 15 hours during sophomore and junior years, and 20 hours during senior year.

See Rockhurst Wisdom Core  page for details of the Wisdom Core requirements for all undergraduate students. Courses in this program that fulfill core requirements display the wisdom core attribute code. When registering for classes, to find which courses will fulfill core requirements, search the Course Schedule by “Attribute Type”.

The Course Schedule is located on the Rockhurst Registrar’s webpage at www.rockhurst/registrar.
