Information on Accelerated “Three Plus” CSD Pathway

Incoming eligible students who are focused on pursuing a graduate Master of Science degree in Communication and Sciences Disorders may pursue the accelerated CSD “Three Plus” pathway as they enter Rockhurst as undergraduate students. This accelerated option will enable the student to complete undergraduate requirements during their first three years of enrollment, and begin the first year of graduate level CSD courses during the fourth year as undergraduates.

Accepted students may complete all major and core requirements of their undergraduate Communication Sciences and Disorders, B.S.  major during the first three years of their studies, then complete first year graduate MSCSD courses while in their fourth undergraduate year.

These ‘dual credit’ courses may count as undergraduate elective credits required for the bachelor’s degree, while also counting towards the requirements of the Master of Science CSD program.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Any student entering Rockhurst with transfer credits may fulfill their undergraduate program requirements in less than the standard four years. In such cases, those students must apply to graduate with the bachelor’s degree within the term in which all undergraduate program credits have been fulfilled.

Interested students should contact the Communication Sciences department for further details.  A sample of an accelerated “Three Plus” CSD course sequence follows:
