Upper Division Requirements
The major concentration in political science consists of a minimum of 18 semester hours of upper-division work in at least three subfields of the major unless a more tailored program better suited to the student’s interests and professional goals is approved by the department chair. The subfields from which choices may be selected are normative theory (NT), American politics (AP), comparative politics (CP), international relations (IR), or constitutional law (CL). Also required are 12 semester hours of related upper-division courses chosen under the direction of the major advisor. Lower-division prerequisites for this major concentration are either PS 1000 , PS 1100 , or PS 1150 . A grade of C or better is required in each course of the major. (A grade of C-will not satisfy the requirement.) |
