Helzberg School of Management

The Post-Graduate Certificates at the Helzberg School of Management focus on specific areas that Master of Business Administration graduates may further pursue. Certificates are available in the following areas:

• Finance
• Health Care Management
• International Business
• Management
• Non-Profit Administration 

Certificate Objectives

Certificates are designed for graduates who are either changing industries or responsibilities or would like to enhance their graduate education with up-to-date information.

Students enrolled in the Helzberg Post-Graduate certificate program also have full access to Helzberg professional coaches as well as our Career Center. In addition, they are invited to participate in all MBA personal and professional development programs as well as mentoring and networking events.

Admission Requirements

The Helzberg Post-Graduate Certificate program is open to those who possess an MBA from a regionally accredited institution. Those with a speciality Master’s degree in a closely related business or management field may also be considered.

In order for an applicant to be accepted into the Helzberg Post-Graduate program they must meet the following requirements:

Certificate Credit Hours

Credit hours earned during the pursuit of a graduate certificate may be applied toward elective credit hours (or in the case of an exact match, toward core hours) necessary to earn a graduate degree provided both are completed within six years following registration in the certificate program. In such case the degree would be awarded as a general degree with no concentration. Conversely, credit hours previously applied to a graduate program resulting in a degree are not eligible to fill the requirements of a graduate certificate.


The Helzberg Post-Graduate certificate requirements consist of a minimum of 12 credit hours of advanced graduate coursework in a specific discipline. Average completion time is 6 terms or 15 months. Upon completion, students will be awarded a certificate from Rockhurst University and the Helzberg School of Management.

A minimum of 12 hours in 6000-level BUS, MG, or MK courses.
