CP 6910 - Cooperative Education Program

Co-op is a paid, structured internship program with work periods corresponding in length to a semester or summer break.  Academic credit is earned based upon the number of hours worked.  In addition to academic credit, a letter grade is awarded based on the employer’s evaluation of the student’s work performance and assigned projects from the class instructor.  Participants are able to make more informed decisions on their career direction after experience in their field of study.  The course allows students to explore career options in an authentic work environment, while earning academic credit; Enhance and reinforce academic learning by blending theory with practice; Acquire career-related skills and knowledge under the supervision and direction of professionals; Improve marketability for full-time, professional employment upon graduation.
