Helzberg School of Management Minors

In addition to completing the following course requirements for these minors, students are also subject to the policies governing minors as described in the section “Undergraduate Degree Requirements.”

Upper Division Requirements:

(minimum 12 upper-division credit hours***)

• AC 4500 - Principles of Accounting (3) ** or
• AC 2000 - Financial Accounting (3) and
• AC 2100 - Managerial Accounting (3)

• EC 4500 - Applied Quantitative Methods (3) ** or
• MT 1190 - Precalculus (3) and
• BUS 2200 - Applied Business Statistics (3)

• EC 4550 - Principles of Economics (3) ** or
• EC 1000 - Principles of Macroeconomics (3) and
• EC 1100 - Principles of Microeconomics (3)

•  

• FN 3000 - Essentials of Finance (3)
• BUS 3100 - Management Information Systems (3) *
• MK 3000 - Principles of Marketing (3)

Note(s):

BSBA students may not minor in Business Administration*.

* Some lower-division prerequisites are required for certain upper-division courses and must be taken prior to taking the upper-division courses required for the minor.

**AC 4500 , EC 4500 , and EC 4550  cannot be taken by BSBA majors to fulfill BSBA degree requirements. Students must have junior standing or be a post-baccalaureate pre-MBA student.

*** Students who have substituted lower-division courses for upper-division courses must complete at least 12 HSOM upper-division credit hours to complete the minor.
