Data Analytics Curriculum

The Data Analytics curriculum consists of 30 credit hours, 26 of which are core credit hours and 4 elective credit hours.  An overall grade point average of 3.0 must be maintained. Prerequisites are considered additional credit hours. Students may transfer in no more than 9 credit hours.

Data Analytics Prerequisite Courses (5 credit hours):

Rockhurst University’s Helzberg School of Management prefers the following five credit hours of prerequisites are taken prior to BIA 6301 - Applied Data Mining , a core course within the curriculum.

• BIA 6201 - Statistics & Machine Learning (2)
• BIA 6311 - Introduction to R for Data Analysis (0.5)
• BIA 6312 - Introduction to Python for Data Analysis (0.5)
• BIA 6314 - Databases for Analytics (2)

• In some cases, equivalent knowledge of the prerequisite courses may be substituted.
