Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Graduate Certificate *

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Certificate* is an interdisciplinary graduate certificate program offering students the opportunity to explore DEI concepts through coursework and applied projects. Students will develop the skills and knowledge needed to be an agent of positive change in a culturally pluralistic world and communicate with compassion in diverse environments.
This program aims to promote more inclusive workplace, educational, and community settings by educating students on topics such as culture, identities, racial relations, discrimination prevention, intercultural competency, implicit bias, and promoting inclusivity and belonging.
This program may be completed as a stand-alone certificate, or as one of the three *’stackable’ certificates required to fulfill requirements of the Business Administration, M.B.A. program.
Program Goals
Students will:
- actively engage in reflection upon their own cultures and identities
- identify and analyze their implicit biases
- explain the historical, political, social, and economic contexts that shape policies influencing institutions, societies, and human life
- recognize the need for diverse and inclusive populations to improve social and economic outcomes that benefit individuals, organizations, and societies
- develop an individual plan to apply meaningful DEI knowledge and skills through an applied project designed to promote equity and inclusivity in a workplace, educational, or community setting
- incorporate DEI knowledge and skills into a plan to promote more diverse, equitable, and inclusive communities, organizations, and a just world
